When changing gear ratios with sprocket changes, care must be taken to keep the chain as tight as possible.
This clip is used between the pads & spring to hold the correct tension
(example: using a sprocket combination of 15/39, and a 68 pitch chain, this clip would be used on both sides of the spring. In a combination of 15/35, and a 66 pitch chain, this clip would be used on one side, and the Short Wire Form (0107-235) would be used on the other side)
