Paddle pick is made to work with all current plastic cleat designs. Two flat support washers are used for supporting the stud and to shim the stud to the desired height. It is important to shim the stud slightly below the top of the plastic cleat. On hard surface and under torque the plastic cleat flexes to allow the stud to extend above the cleat for additionaly traction. The weight savings can be as much as 4 to 6 pounds in the cases where 144 to 240 studs are installed. They weigh about 1/6 that of steel plates and nuts. Two sizes for 7mm and 5/16" studs.
