	Ski Skins Ref: SKISKINS Ski Skins add color to otherwise colorless black skis. But you also get performance benefits. Skins are made of slippery plastic. You get more speed and less drag than steel skis. Less drag increases fuel efficiency too. Ski Skins are a full 3/16" thick, not the thinner style used by others. This extra mass makes your skis stronger and more durable for increased ski life. The skins for all but Yamaha skis have a total width which is 1/2" wider than the ski. This extra width protects ski edges and gives you more floatation in the fluffy stuff.
